The COLA website is intended to serve as a communication link for keeping COLA members informed and up-to-date on industry issues. It also serves as an educational resource for COLA labs to keep their customers, the eyecare professions, informed on the fast-changing lens information they need in caring for the eyes of America.

Founded in 1957, the California Optical Laboratories Association is an organization of full-service optical  laboratories from California and other Western states.

Greetings and welcome to COLA!

Since its inception, COLA has been the voice of wholesale optical labs in the Western U.S.  The industry continues to change and evolve, and COLA has kept up with the times.

The COLA membership reflects an accurate geography of today’s wholesale lab.  Our membership is comprised of corporate-owned, independently-owned, and family owned/operated labs.  We share a genuine fellowship and friendship that is genuine and difficult to duplicate.  Our vendors and suppliers are also considered to be part of the COLA family. 

COLA continues to address serious issues that affect every single wholesale optical lab.
