HOTEL BOOKING & GOLF UPDATE (3/26/2013)

Greetings everyone,

I know many of you have already booked your accommodations at the Temecula Creek Inn already, so I apologize for the redundancy in sending out this message. I was just informed that the block of rooms that COLA had reserved at the TCI are sold out now.

If you are planning to attend the meeting, there have been arrangements made with the Embassy Suites, Temecula (www.estemecula.com) to accept reservations for those attending the COLA meeting. There will be 15 rooms blocked off for the COLA group at the Embassy Suites. The rate is the same as TCI @ $119 per night. The rate includes complimentary full-cooked-to-order breakfast and complimentary Manager’s Reception 5:30pm – 7:30pm nightly. Free Wi-Fi in all of the suites and common areas. The Embassy Suites Temecula is approximately 3 miles from the TCI. For GPS purposes, here is the address for the Temecula Creek Inn: 44501 Rainbow Canyon Rd., Temecula, CA 92592.

Attention All Golfers: Please let us know if you are planning to participate in the Golf Scramble at the Temecula Creek Golf Course. Phil Epperson is coordinating the tournament, and he will need a head count by April 5^th. The cost of the tournament is $95 and payment should be mailed to: COLA, PO Box 3354, Montebello, CA 90640. If you prefer to pay on arrival, please inform Phil Epperson via email at pepperson@san.rr.com by April 5^th, as he needs to know how many players we will have at that time.

COLA Spring Meeting 2013
April 25-26, 2013

The COLA Spring Meeting 2013 will again be held at the Temecula Creek Inn. The dates for the meeting are April 25^th thru April 26^th (Thursday and Friday). We are expecting a larger attendance this year than in previous meetings, so more hotel rooms have been reserved for the COLA group. As always, there will be a golf outing on Thursday, followed by the President's Dinner and West Coast Good Fellow Award. Friday sessions cover current info on optical market update, industry regulations, healthcare reform, and successful approaches to upcoming challenges and opportunities.

This will be the first meeting of COLA’s affiliation with the Optical Lab Division (formerly the O.L.A.) of The Vision Council.

At this meeting, registration fees will not be charged for all who attend. Those who attend the meeting are only responsible for their hotel room and golf, if they wish to participate on the links.
